| September 20, 2006: Hey Man, Is That Sloan? Yes. Well Turn It Up, Man! Hello, bonjour! I am listening to Never Hear The End Of It right now and all I can say is, if you like Sloan, then get it. Oh it is so good. Andrew is back, Jay is better than ever and Chris whines a bit but it's Chris and what are you going to do? He is brutally honest, at least...Patrick's songs are my favorite, as usual, but even his songs are so much better than I expected...I may be biased (who, me?) but this is so...I want it to be nominated for the Polaris Prize (and please, someone, if you see Jian Ghomeshi rag on him endlessly about BSS until he SHUTS UP about them) because they deserve it...on first hearing the song which has me virtually jumping up and down is "I Understand" (a Patrick song) which has compassionate lyrics, some God-like chord changes and yes, I couldn't believe it, but BELLS at the end. Not the St. James bells, but bells nevertheless...oh, Resonance FM, brace yourself for me to storm your staircase and do an all-Sloan show...
